Prof. Dr. Xiaoming Li

Professor Xiaoming Li is currently a Professor in the Department of Medical Psychology at Anhui Medical University. He obtained his Ph.D. from the School of Life Sciences at the University of Science and Technology of China. His teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in General Psychology, Psychological Statistics, Experimental Psychology, Medical Psychology, and Research Methods in Psychology.

With over 80 peer-reviewed articles published in authoritative Chinese and international journals, his notable publications appear in EClinicalMedicine, Psychological Medicine, Human Brain Mapping, NeuroImage, Brain Imaging and Behavior, Brain Science, Appetite, General Psychiatry, Depression and Anxiety, Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, World Journal of Psychiatry, Journal of Affective Disorders, Clinical Psychology & Psychotherapy, and Psychiatry Research.

He serves as a peer reviewer for over 30 international journals in psychology and psychiatry, and holds editorial board positions at three international academic journals. His primary research focuses on the interdisciplinary domain bridging cognitive development and psychiatry. In recent years, he has expanded his investigations into the neural mechanisms of mental disorders, addictive behaviors, and the neuroscientific foundations of hypnotherapy through advanced neuroimaging techniques including functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and electroencephalography (EEG).

Specializing in meta-analytic methodologies, he demonstrates expertise not only in conventional meta-analysis but also in advanced approaches such as network meta-analysis, imaging meta-analysis, and umbrella reviews.
